In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I used to drive like 3 1/2 hours upstate where I would record in my organization brother's studio. I had the craziest car accident of my life the last trip, and bought my own studio equipment. I've been mixing and mastering my own music ever since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, Blonde J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Nas, Illmatic It's like a sun/moon/rising. FHD was the first rap album I ever dove into, and I kind of co-identified myself with Cole as an artist. Illmatic is like my Bible when it comes to rap/hip-hop. Blonde just represents a kind of musical reflection of me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Murcielago” "Murcielago" was one of the first songs I made as G HOVA. It represents a new era for me as an artist, shedding the old so I can be prepared for what's to come. Almost like a musical baptism in a sense.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my songs made it onto a Hulu documentary about a Louisiana football team. But that was when I was CityBoiGreg, about a year ago.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Going on tour! Whether its a big sold out one or a small venue to venue one, that's one experience I just have to have.
