Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Since I was at least five years old I wanted to be a singer. I remember driving all over the coast of California with my parents listening to early 2000's pop radio and being obsessed with "Drops of Jupiter" and wanting to audition for American Idol.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Fishmans, Long Season

The Beatles, Abbey Road (2019 Mix)
Each of these albums provides an entire sonic world to get lost in that is conceptually cohesive with a narrative. They are the kinds of albums that make me get up each day and try my best to add my mark to the world of music with my own albums.

“Na Na No No”
I think this song, being the opening of the album, works as a mission statement to the whole project. It drops mid-sentence in an abrupt cacophony of dissonance that says "I don't care" what people think of my artistry, I want to be experimental.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Definitely self-releasing my first album. I had started work on it over ten years prior and had shelved it for years, deciding it would need to be re-recorded. I eventually realized there was a beauty to its roughness and lo-fi, homemade aesthetics.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I have several albums I need to make before I croak. Among them, I'd like to make a singular musical piece that spans an entire album in the same vein as such greats as "Long Season," "E2-E4," "Chill Out," and "Music for 18 Musicians." Stay tuned!
