About George Alice
With her flowy, textural pop music, singer George Alice sounds, on every note, a natural. There's a good reason for it; born Georgia Mannion in 2003 in Adelaide, South Australia, Alice taught herself to write songs and began busking when she was a tween—having learned how to play guitar and piano around the time she was learning to speak. In 2019, Alice won a Triple J national radio contest for high-school-aged artists with her song “Circles,” a woozy, melancholy track with lush, layered vocals about saying goodbye. In 2020, she capitalized on that breakthrough, teaming up with producer NASAYA for the snappy but downhearted single “Stuck in a Bubble,” which she followed with the dreamy “Teenager,” about the trials and tribulations of growing up.
