Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember writing songs to accompany the plays my best friend and I used to write and perform at the park at age 7ish. I used to try and moonwalk, often could be found dancing around in a hat and writing in an A minor progression
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alicia Keys, Songs In A Minor Christina Aguilera, Stripped Gil Scott-Heron, Jamie xx, We're New Here Stripped was Iconic, diverse, meaningful. This record was just so incredibly well created, written. we're new here made me want to explore sonics. I was obsessed with every element of this record. Alicia Keys well...it's songs in A minor
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Hill” This song was one of the first records I really allowed myself to be raw and intimate. I love production and tend to just play a single character in the landscape of my music, this song I was front and centre and that felt exciting.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The sheer size of performing as a guest at festivals like Coachella, Lolapolooza and EDC is quite mind-blowing. I feel I was probably too stressed at the time to truly take it all in but when I look back it brings me great joy.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I tend to take things as they come. I do love scale...and intimacy. It's why I'm obsessed with film as you can oscillate so easily between them. Epic Intimacy is my jam - so anything super grand in scale and / or intimate is very interesting to me.
