About Goodfire
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Goodfire is highly influenced by the Grunge and Post Grunge era. Most of us grew up listening to Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and the Smashing Pumpkins.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Alice In Chains, Dirt (Remastered)
Silverchair, Frogstomp
Soundgarden, Superunknown
These are just a few albums that made us want to learn how to play guitar and drums. Great tones, amazing compositions and harmonic melodies captured us at the times of their release and drove us to pick up our first instruments.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Ida”
This song really captures Goodfire's songwriting goals.
Like the albums that inspired us, it is full of great harmonic melodies, heavy guitars and a well constructed beat. Those are also accompanied by a very mellow and clean guitar rhythm.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
We had the opportunity to open up for Tantric in our home town for a two night gig. That was a great time and both us and Tantric had to accommodate unforeseen circumstances on the first night and whip together an acoustic gig due to missing members.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
We are always looking for the next memorable show.
Opening up for any of our hero's is always on our bucket list.
