A quiet yet prolific presence in the lo-fi music scene, Seattle producer Gustaf “goosetaf” Isaacson carefully stitches together elements of jazz, old-school hip-hop, and electronica to capture the attention of nostalgic and futurist fans alike.
• Drawing influence from production veterans Flying Lotus and Madlib and Japanese anime soundtrack composer Yoko Kanno, Isaacson began uploading beats online in the mid-2010s.
• Through Autumn Theory Records, he issued his debut full-length, Elastic Jungle, in February 2018. He tallied more than a dozen releases that year, including Cycles, a joint EP with lo-fi producer Allem Iversom.
• Following a series of 2019 collaborations with fellow lo-fi producers—Sugar with Oatmello, Amalgam with G Mills, and Memory Bloom with Timothy Infinite—Isaacson issued Migration, his first EP for Chillhop Music.
• At the top of 2021, he offered Latibule, a dreamy, guitar-laced EP.
