Singer/guitarist Greg Sage made punk history by forming Portland, OR band the Wipers in 1977. Their combination of punk power and Sage's songwriting smarts made them cult heroes, and they were a crucial influence on Nirvana, among others. Sage released his first solo album in '85 while still in the band, but didn't follow it up until after the Wipers broke up, releasing SACRIFICE (FOR LOVE) in 1991. The Wipers reformed for a few years in the '90s, but Sage recorded a couple of more solo albums as well.
Greg Sage has also released music as a member of Wipers.
