Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Me being 4 years old maybe, listening to my favorite record back then: I Will Come In Time by Billy Preston & Syreeta, on my father’s huge headphones. Being swept away by that song, not being able to stop listening. It's the blueprint for my music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Paul McCartney, Pipes of Peace Phoenix, Alphabetical Pipes of Peace has been with me my entire life, from early childhood, and has always been a source of consolation for me. The album is so playful, so rich. It’s McCartney’s most soulful album I guess. Love it to bits
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The Mercury Lounge in New York in 2019. My music had caught on. The place was totally packed, this was the first crowd in my career that was so openly, overwhelmingly enthusiastic, singing along to every song. A big moment for me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I wold love to visit Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La one day and meet the man. That would be amazing. Feels like the holy grail in music.
