Drone-fueled, almost entirely instrumental duo Growing maintained the tradition started by the Velvet Underground and perfected by the likes of Spacemen 3 and Acid Mothers Temple, with just a hint of doom metal heaviness for spice. They released several self-distributed cassettes before making their vinyl debut with the 7" EP Dry Drunk on Woman. Albums for Kranky, Troubleman Unlimited, Social Registry, and Vice -- including The Sky's Run into the Sea (2003), His Return (2005), Color Wheel (2006), All the Way (2008), and Pumps!
