Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I had just moved when I was about 6 and so I didn't know anyone here in Sydney. At some point a few weeks into class we had a moment where the music teachers came in to test if we'd be good with instruments. I ended up on trumpet, never looked back.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Disasterpeace, Hyper Light Drifter (Original Game Soundtrack) Harry Hunt, Playing Piano for Dad Thom Yorke, The Eraser These three albums were very formative for me, from the relaxed piano of h hunt to Disasterpeace's unrivalled synth work and compositional interest, to Thom Yorke's weird but intimate vocals, and I think these three highlight that perfectly.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pilot (05/12/22)” 'a quietude' was an intimate experience to write, or I guess to improvise, so as the pilot for the album it's sort of central to the narrative constructed in that album - and that narrative is pretty potent for me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting the opportunity to work on InxWAV very early on in my career was a really great introduction to collaboration and the world of commissions that I hope to do a little more soon.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is a lot left on my bucket list! Basically anything I haven't done yet...
