About Havok
Heavily influenced by '80s thrash, Denver, Colorado group Havok formed in 2004 to play aggressive music in the style of bands like Metallica and Slayer. They issued their demo, Thrash Can, that same year, with the EP Murder by Metal following in 2005. In 2008 they signed with Candlelight, which issued their debut album, Burn, in 2009. Time Is Up followed in 2011 and made a significant impact on the metal community, thus sending Havok on tour with the likes of Sepultura, Anthrax, and Testament. In 2013, Unnatural Selection became the band's first album to crack the Billboard 200 album charts, debuting at number 154. ~ David Jeffries
