Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I began playing the bass for First Baptist Church in Pasadena, CA in 2008. Fell I love with the instrument and never again put it down.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Beyoncé, Dangerously in Love
Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly
Mos Def, Black On Both Sides
These albums have spoken to me at multiple stages of my life. There’s something to be said about an album that resonates no matter your age.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Being able to have me children featured on songs with me is a personal and career highlight. I look forward to making more and more music with my family.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
There are entire collaborative projects that I’ve yet to get started on. Before I leave this earth, there are several artists who are close personal friendsthat I absolutely need to work with.
