Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 6 or 7 I would accompany my mom and sister to my sister's piano lessons. I loved hearing my sister play and practice at home. I was thrilled when her piano teacher wanted to teach me as well when I was about 8 years old!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Death Cab for Cutie, Plans Joanna Newsom, Have One On Me The Decemberists, Picaresque I love these albums because they elevate music to a literary form. Some music out there is like a quick snack for the mind. These albums are a full 3 course meal.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “For You (feat. Danielle Parrales)” This song will always hold a special place for me because it's the first song I recorded/produced that I thought encapsulated the style I wanted to have as an artist. Also my cousin played violin on the track and collaborating with her was a treat!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I played an unreleased song at an open mic not too long ago. No one heard the song yet, but they all took to the chorus and were singing along with great gusto! The first time you hear a group singing one of your songs is one of the best feelings!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My journey is just beginning and I have no idea where it will go. I don't want fame or money, but just to know people out there like my music is my biggest hope and desire since my music is a part of who I am.
