About HOMESHAKE
HOMESHAKE is the solo project of Peter Sagar, who pairs falsetto vocals with synth-heavy pop arrangements that show the influence of smooth ’80s-era R&B.
• Sagar began making music as HOMESHAKE in 2012. He released a pair of cassettes in 2013 while playing guitar and keyboards in Mac DeMarco’s live band.
• HOMESHAKE’s first official album, In the Shower, came out in 2014 after Sagar had left DeMarco’s band to focus on his own music.
• Though HOMESHAKE is mostly a solo effort, Mark Goetz, Greg Napier of Sheer Agony, and Brad Loughead of Nap Eyes have also contributed.
• After working in recording studios on HOMESHAKE’s first three LPs, Sagar made the fourth, 2019’s Helium, in his apartment in Montreal.
Influenced by HOMESHAKEHOMESHAKE has influenced the music of Blooms Corda, Ninjoi., FELIVAND and more.
