In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As teenagers we obsessed over The Orb’s “Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld”, the seminal 1990 album that more than any other influence defined our sample-based approach to electronic music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Herbie Hancock, Sony Jazz Trios: Headhunters / Sextant / Thrust Headhunters / Sextant / Thrust - three albums featuring Herbie Hancock's kaleidoscopic musical personality, another being Mwandishi from around this time. All of them were deeply influential to us in many different ways.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nine Fresian” This is the first track from the experimental album 'Misfits'. The whole album was composed by each of us making parts separately and then combining them later. One of us would make rhythms and the other melodies / harmonies alternately.
