About Intrigues
Artist Biography
The Intrigues were a slick trio that served up funky Philly soul during the early '70s. Their biggest hit in 1969 on the Yew label, "In a Moment," was slickly arranged and produced by Bobby Martin and Thom Bell, although its flip, "Scotchman Rock," was a rocking throwback to simpler times. The Intrigues' lush 1971 hit on Yew, "The Language of Love," was co-produced by Van McCoy. After an extended absence from the R&B charts, the trio re-emerged from the shadows in 1985 with "Fly Girl." ~ Bill Dahl
