Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I come from a family of musicians, so music was always prominent in my life. My earliest memory however, I was probably 3 or 4 in the back of my dad's '98 blue Saturn, singing along to "Raspberry Beret" and "Kiss" by Prince on the way to preschool.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Childish Gambino, Because the Internet JoJo, good to know Kehlani, SweetSexySavage (Deluxe) Kehlani and JoJo are two of my biggest inspirations musically and vocally. SweetSexySavage is definitely a more nostalgic pick for me, as I've been listening to this album since high school. G2K is a perfect album & I love me some old Gambino.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Your Girl (acoustic version)” I wrote this song when I was 17 after my first real relationship had ended. The song went through so many phases and experiments, but I'm content with the final product :). It's a classic Izye banger, for sure.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I got to play my first project for Points (aka Al Sherrod Lambert), who wrote some of Ariana Grande's earlier hits, such as "The Way" and "Almost Is Never Enough". I was cheesin' real big underneath the Platinum plaque for "The Way".
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to do a P-Lo and Lil Wayne collab before I die.
