Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to Throwing Copper by Live on my best friends brothers "borrowed" cassette on repeat. We would play it over and over until we got hollered at by his dad from the downstairs. That album is still one of my favorites of all time.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Between the Buried and Me, Colors Mipso, Dark Holler Pop Sturgill Simpson, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music Colors is the climax of all recorded compositions in the heavy metal genre. Between the Buried and Me has mastered the craft. Dark Holler Pop is the perfect album for any day or mood. This Sturgill album is the primary reason I share my music at all.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Skiing After Sex (Live)” I was 21 washing windows in Breckenridge, CO and I found a quote framed above a toilet on a lady's wall. It said "Just because I took you home last night does not mean I will ski with you this morning." She inspired the song I wrote 13 years later.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Meeting Ace Hood and his wife Christmas '21 was the most inspirational moment in my career. He made no mention of his notoriety or stage name, just his writing process. I was their shuttle driver. Their words and blessings helped me commit to music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My one true mission I desire to accomplish before I die is to open up for Brandi Carlile.
