About Jake
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Listening to Cassidy every day nonstop during middle school years. I had to argue how he was the best to every kid who challenged me with their favorite artist. The lunchroom discussions will forever be iconic.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin
Drake, Take Care (Deluxe Version)
J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive
These albums I can play from start to finish without skipping a single track. 50 Cent had me feeling gangsta. J Cole had me in my feeling philosophical. Drake had me in my feelings.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Farewell.”
This song I wrote for my brother who passed away. I wrote the song from his point of view, so listeners are hearing it as if it were him speaking. This song is also sort of out of the ordinary of the genre of music I create. This track is unique.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Performing at my first show was memorable; small crowd of course, but the excitement to be on stage was unmatched. Collaborating at the studio with other artists and meeting new people with similar interests in music. The late nights I won't forget
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I just plan to continue making music for fun and to listen to it years later being proud that I have music streaming on multiple streaming services. that's an accomplishment within itself. I'll be content.
