In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was 9 years old, I learned to play Route 66 on Trumpet in my Jazz class. Before then, I was the biggest hater of Jazz, and after that, I’ve become the biggest lover of Jazz, Blues, and R&B.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Bruno Major, Columbo
Erykah Badu, Mama's Gun
Kacey Musgraves, Deeper Well
These albums are deep listens, feel good vibes, and collections that I can listen to all the way through. I get so much inspiration from the instrumentals, the lyrics, and even the music theory behind some of these tracks.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Starting out with my EP and a few singles, I wrote them in a college class where I had a few people bob their head and ask me to release my music. At that moment, I knew I wanted to release more music of my own.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
One day I want to release and perform a Jazz collective album. It’s already in the works.
