The latter half of Los Angeles-based post-punk/art rock duo Eagle & Talon, Kim Talon (JAN) blends the raw riot grrrl attack of Wild Flag with the sleek retro-rock panache of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Recorded at Seattle's London Bridge Studios and produced by John Goodmanson (the Gossip, Blonde Redhead, Sleater-Kinney), JAN's full-length eponymous studio debut, which was preceded by the single "Work for the City," was released in November 2012. ~ James Christopher Monger
