Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a little kid I had a plastic tape recorder and I'd sing little songs I made up into it. I went to a Jewish pre-school and then Catholic kindergarten, so all my songs were Beatles-influenced takes on a very abstract and sacriligeous god
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds I've been thinking a lot about my all time favorite recordings, and I can't make the list without Pet Sounds. It channels this beautiful, hopeful, hi-fi melancholy that is hard to find anywhere else, and the harmonies are just incomparable.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I played an opening set at a festival where Eric Clapton headlined. Clapton came in a black limousine with blacked out windows and little flags all over it, like a visiting dignitary. It was a cool thing to be a part of.
