About Jay Korner
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
"Long Tall Sally" (Jerry Lee Lewis) when I was 8 years old. But songs like "Rock Steady" (Aretha Franklyn), "Shakey Ground" (The Temptations), "Cold Sweat" (James Brown) and "Superstition" (Stevie Wonder) really got me groovin' at an early age.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Orgone, The Killion Floor
Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life
The Meters, Rejuvenation
Rejuvenation is a fantastic album by an extraordinary funk band. Orgone keeps evolving year in and year out and this album has an amazing groove. Could pick any of the early 70s albums by Stevie Wonder, but Songs in the Key Of Life is a masterpiece.

“High On Life”
A catchy funk song with an infectious guitar riff theme by Alexander Asp and awesome organ and clavinet licks by Stefan Jernståhl. I wrote it to my two teenage daugthers and it is all about hope, inspiration and not giving up on your dreams.
