In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 7 years old, I was playing the Hammond organ during Sunday service at my grandfather's church, Galilee Baptist Church, in East Texas. I was also too short to reach the foot pedals, so I had to use the upper manual to play the bass.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Durand Bernarr, DUR& Jazmine Sullivan, Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe Lil Nas X, MONTERO These albums have storytelling, musicianship, and so many other elements of great albums that I love to listen to from the beginning to the end without skipping any tracks. I can enjoy them at any time as if it's my first time hearing it.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Let It Go” I love this song because I'm telling some of my story as an artist. This is also the first time I've released a song that I wrote, arranged, produced, and engineered.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember when Cordae's album, The Lost Boy, was nominated for Best Rap Album and BJ the Chicago Kid's album, 1123, was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards. It was my first time having my work recognized at that level.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are numerous artists that I still want to work on music with in some capacity. I also just want to hang out in some studio sessions with some of those same artists.
