About Jerry Markham
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Once in San Antonio, Texas I got to meet Howard Jones backstage in the dressing room where I presented him a copy of a fan tribute CD that me and a bunch of fans made. He was really cool and down to earth. He encouraged me to believe in myself.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Howard Jones, Human's Lib
Information Society, Information Society
Phil Collins, Face Value (Remastered)
Human's Lib - Howard weaves beautiful synth textures and lyrics without sounding technical and boring. InSoc - High energy, catchy melodies and pumping beats. Face Value - Phil has the raw, soulful, real, hard edged rock drums and voice like no other

“Thoughts of the Day (Single Mix)”
I like this one because it's catchy and pretty simple. It's the 4-on-the-floor disco style with a predictable progression. I like the falsetto chorus and the potential for lots of remixes. Looking back I must have been channeling the Pet Shop Boys.
