About JESSE
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Getting Selena's Amor Prohibido and Dreaming Of You from my dad is my very first musical memory. I sang her songs so proudly I earned the nickname "Seleno" and I even won a live radio contest choosing a gold necklace that said "THE BEST" as my prize.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE
Lady Gaga, MAYHEM
Selena, Dreaming Of You
My dad gifting me Selena's Dreaming Of You sparked my lifelong love for music. Beyoncé's RENAISSANCE empowered my artistic identity and Lady Gaga's MAYHEM gave me the ultimate confidence to embrace my star power.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“AMOR DE CAOS”
I wrote "AMOR DE CAOS" about breaking free from a toxic dynamic and learning my lesson about love. Instead of chasing love, I am redirecting all that energy toward building my empire, loving my dogs, and my family who always have my back.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
As Mariah Carey's wardrobe assistant, flying on her jet gave us a beautiful moment to talk about life. Backstage at her Caesars Palace residency, I watched her command the stage from behind the scenes, teaching me how a true icon creates magic.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
As an artist, my bucket list is endless and constantly growing! Right at the top is collaborating in the studio with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey, along with my absolute dream of sharing the stage with Justin Bieber one day.
