About John Hildreth
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Listening to John Williams' music from the original Star Wars movie on my sister's stereo. I learned to use the turntable so I could play it over and over again.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Michael Hedges, Aerial Boundaries
Sarah McLachlan, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Legacy Edition
Telefon Tel Aviv, Map of What Is Effortless
These records capture the essence of diverse spaces in my music. From the electronic world of TTA (and precursors such as NIN and Depeche Mode) to Sarah's songwriting masterpiece to the greatest acoustic guitar record ever made.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Far From You”
This is a science-fiction ballad about two characters that traverse time and space, but the universe keeps them apart ... until the end. It's a metaphor for life things we can't control. Kat Mill’s duet vocal and MMR's production are interstellar.
