Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember the first live show I ever went to like it was yesterday. I knew right then that I wanted to do music as a career. I just knew that’s what God created me to do. Share Jesus through songs, shows, and stories.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chris Renzema, Get Out of the Way of Your Own Heart (Deluxe Edition) Chris Renzema, Manna The Worship Initiative, Writers Well, Psalms from the Well These 3 albums have breathed so much life into me over the years, and have inspired me so much as a writer and creative.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pray It Anyway” This song is extremely personal to me. I wrote it about two of the hardest things I’ve ever walked through. My mom’s cancer diagnosis, and me and my wife’s ongoing struggle with infertility. It’s incredibly hard, but God has been so close in it all.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment in my career so far has been hearing all of the stories from people who are connecting with my song “Pray It Anyway”. Testimony after testimony of how they’re choosing to hope and pray in the hardest seasons of their life.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’m so thankful for all God has done up to this point, but If I had to pick one thing (I’m going to dream big here), I would love to write with and collab on a song with Brandon Lake. His heart for the lost, and for Jesus is so evident to me.
