Born in 2003 in Puebla del Río, Seville, José María Ruiz is a Spanish singer who achieved overnight fame as the winner of the youth talent contest La Voz Kids. Determined to break into show business since childhood, Ruiz went to many casting auditions before he was finally selected to join the second season of La Voz Kids in 2015. Mentored by Manuel Carrasco, Ruiz won the competition and was awarded a record deal with Universal Music. His debut album, Y Ahora, was released in October 2015. No Te Pido Más arrived one year later.
