About Josh Abbott Band
Artist Biography
The origins of country outfit Josh Abbott Band date back to 2004, when Abbott and his banjo-playing fraternity brother Austin Davis performed together at a local open-mic night.
∙ The band’s 2010 sophomore album, She’s Like Texas featured “Oh, Tonight,” a duet with Kacey Musgraves, and hit the Billboard Country charts.
∙ They sold out Billy Bob’s Texas—a Fort Worth venue known as “the world’s largest honky tonk”—for the first time in 2010 and have repeatedly returned in the years since.
∙ 2012’s Small Town Dream and 2015’s Front Row Seat both cracked the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
∙ Before she became a country star in her own right, Carly Pearce guested on Josh Abbott Band’s “Wasn’t That Drunk,” a song off the 2015 album Front Row Seat.
∙ The video for “Little More You,” a track from the group’s 2019 EP, Catching Fire, features Jep and Jessica Robertson of the popular reality TV franchise Duck Dynasty.
