About Junifer
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My earliest musical memory is from an actual musical! I remember the first time I watched Marry Poppins and being captivated by the magic of the songs, dances, and the transportive feeling of it all. Music that takes me somewhere is a special thing.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Imogen Heap, Speak for Yourself
Jungle, Volcano
Sufjan Stevens, Illinois
I was in college when I discovered both Sufjan Stevens and Imogen Heap. Those two albums specifically shaped so much of my outlook on how music can really communicate the world an artist is inviting you into. Jungle is my current obsession! So good!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Here Comes The Rain”
I wrote this song over ten years before I released it. But over time, as my life and philosophy changed, the song took on a new meaning. When I decided to resurrect it, I loved exploring the evolution of a song I had with me for so long.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
All of my most memorable moments in music have come from the times I get to share in the music making with others. I love working together with a buddy, especially when it just connects, and you feel the magic kind of appear in the midst of it all.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Too many bucket list items to talk about! So many folks I'd love to make music with, so many new songs waiting to be uncovered, and so many new creative shows to put on! I would think this would be everyone's answer!!!
