Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I vividly remember struggling to play the violin. At first, I sounded like I was torturing the neighbor’s cat. After extended practice, however, I gradually got much better. My playing got to the point where music became my refuge.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ramones, Road to Ruin Robert Johnson, Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues: Robert Johnson The Cramps, Stay Sick! Only 3? This is subject to change, as I have many others I’d like to list. The Cramps and The Ramones have been huge influences on my youth and my music and Mr. Johnson musically guides me to the crossroads on a regular basis.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “(Tonight, We Are) Immune” (Tonight, We Are) Immune is my first release after many years of being away from the music scene. It’s a rough cut that typifies my aesthetic: Blues-based, upbeat, but with very a very dark story backing it up.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I was the singer at a large venue, everything went wrong. My guitar started feeding back at the wrong moments and my monitors cut. I worked the whole thing into to show. A successful show is when only you know what went wrong.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Right now, the bucket list is simple. 1) Make as many of you fantastic listeners as possible as happy with our music as possible 2) Keep cranking out said music on a roughly monthly basis. 3) Engage with you where we can so we can get to know you.
