Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Its funny to remember this but when I was in the 5th or 6th grade I played Shenandoah on the harmonica during a school choir program. I think it was about the time the movie was playing in theaters.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Leon Russell, Leon Russell Remastered Sarah Jarosz, Follow Me Down The Doobie Brothers, The Captain and Me (Remastered) I have listened to that Doobie Brothers album and that Leon Russell album forever. In a way they define a huge part of my life. Follow Me Down by Sarah Jarosz always amazes me because of her incredible voice and amazing songwriting ability.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Waiting for Spring” This song is one of the new soundscapes that I've been working on and I love how it captures some aspect of a super cold winter. Some how, for me, it speaks of the starkness, the isolation, the metallic brutality of cold.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I guess I'm still looking for the most memorable moments in my music career. I haven't done all that I want to do. I haven't seen anything more exciting than this very moment.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? That is a difficult question to answer because I'm not willing to admit the need for a bucket list. I only recently acknowledged that I might stop playing, recording, writing, creating when I'm 99, but I'm totally convinced that I want to stop then.
