In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I played piano with my great-grandpa—he taught me “Old MacDonald” and boogie-woogie. We sang together, and I didn’t realize until later that he was the first to really teach me music. That’s where my love for it began.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? DOM KENNEDY, Get Home Safely King Chai, Good Doesn't Get To Heaven (Deluxe) Tye Tribbett & G.A., Stand Out “Get Home Safely” by Dom Kennedy introduced me to Cali music—felt nostalgic. “Good Doesn’t Get to Heaven” was my personal release—I produced most of it, my baby. “Stand Out” by Tye Tribbett was a worship album from camp that’s stayed with me since.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “You Feel Me?” “You Feel Me?” was over one of my best friend Kevin’s beats. I had a lot on my heart and just poured it all out. I barely breathed while recording—it was raw, straight through, no stops. That moment, that sound—it’s special to me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was working with Jamal and Kevin in the studio at Kevin’s house. We were brothers in Christ, growing, grinding, and making music together. I didn’t realize how special that time was until it was gone.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Man, I feel like I’m just getting started. I’ve done some shows and worked with names, but I haven’t made it yet. I just want to leave a real legacy—not be called underrated, but respected as one of the best to ever do it in this space.
