Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I began playing the harp when I was five years old, and one my earliest memories is being interviewed for the NBC Junior Hall of Fame program. In 1989, the same journalist interviewed me when I won the Bronze Medal in the USA Int'l Harp Competition.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brian Eno, Harold Budd, The Pearl I've listened to this album hundreds of times, soaking in the minimalist piano, oceanic imagery, and pioneering ambient sounds. It is one of the inspirations for my desire to create my own original New Age/Ambient music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Aquamarine” "Aquamarine" is the title track from my GRAMMY® Nominated album. It has been described as "liquid sunshine" (Daniel Tashian, producer) and takes the listener on a journey to the deep blue sea.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being nominated for a 2024 GRAMMY® Award is the most exciting honor of my career so far. My album, Aquamarine, is an homage to my late Mom and our shared passion for the ocean. I'm so grateful to have this music recognized by the Recording Academy.
