The stage name of Richmond, Virginia-based DJ, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist, and producer Joel Burleson, Ki:Theory is known as much for his productions and remixes as his dark and angular synth-based alt-rock. Burleson has released numerous albums and EPs under the moniker, including Brittle Branches (2006), Save Our City (2008), Arms for Legs (2009), Messages: Syntax/Error (2011), KITTY HAWK (2013), and Silence (2016). He has also done remix work for Queens of the Stone Age, Daft Punk, Kings of Leon, Brazilian Girls, Hans Zimmer, and Ladytron, and provided original music for television shows like Top Gear, The Following, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. ~ James Christopher Monger
