About Koen Holtkamp
Koen Holtkamp is a composer and multi-instrumentalist whose decades-long body of work has drawn from his experiments with slowly unfolding ambient dronescapes, experimental guitar processing, electro-acoustic instrumentation, and free improvisation. In addition to being one half of the revered instrumental duo Mountains, Holtkamp's solo work included wide-ranging performances and recordings like the quiet beauty he found on 2008's Field Rituals and the thoughtful dialogues between modular synthesizer, saxophone, and drums on his 2026 album Nightlife.
