Irish rapper Kevin Smith (aka Kojaque) sticks to mellowed boom-bap-style hip-hop with socially conscious yet deeply personal rhymes.
Based in Cabra, Ireland, Smith graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a Fine Arts degree. He applied his knowledge of visuals to the release of his debut song, 2015's "Midnight Flower," catching the attention of the public in the process. He submitted his final year project, Love in Technicolour, to the RHA School Graduate Studio Awards, winning him the start-up costs for his own studio space. He used the studio to release his debut, Deli Daydreams, basing it around the daily life of a deli owner and various customers; the album was released through his own label, Soft Boy Records. ~ Liam Martin
