London-based electronic artist Kowton (Joe Cowton) produces sparse, bass-heavy techno that draws from U.K. garage and dub. He's one of the cornerstone artists of Peverelist's lauded Livity Sound label, and he's also released dozens of well-received 12"s on similar-minded U.K. bass labels like Keysound, Hessle Audio, and All Caps. In addition to producing numerous tracks with Peverelist, he's also collaborated with Julio Bashmore and Hyetal. Kowton released his debut full-length, Utility, on Livity Sound in 2016. ~ Paul Simpson
