• The Philly native first rapped under the name C.K. He switched to Kur (a shortened version of his middle name) on a friend’s suggestion.
• Kur honed his skills by participating in lunchtime cyphers while attending W.B. Saul High School.
• He made his debut with 2012’s Straight from the Kur mixtape.
• In 2013, Kur released his “Upside Down Cake” series—three songs in which he rapped about various romantic misadventures over the beat from Drake’s “Pound Cake.”
