In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my favorite early musical memories was the first time I sat in with a band on a gig when I was 10 years old. I was instantly hooked on that indescribable feeling and knew right then that I wanted to continue doing for the rest of my life.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chris Stapleton, Higher Sam Fender, People Watching The Black Crowes, Happiness Bastards These are some records that came out in the last few years that I’ve listened to a lot and have influenced the direction I’m going with my own music. I do a lot of listening while driving and these have been the soundtrack to many drives this year.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Make My Own Way” This is the title track from my upcoming album. It sets the tone for a record that has more of rock n’ roll sound than my last few releases. While the songwriting is strongly influenced by country and Americana this record packs more of a punch.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting to play ‘Footloose’ with Kenny Loggins. He was a guest at a recent gig I played and he sat in with the band for a few songs. One of the first albums I had was the Top Gun soundtrack. It was a surreal experience getting to play with him.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things. I want to continue writing, recording, and releasing music that I'm proud of. In the short term I'd like to be able to tour behind my upcoming album.
