Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Laurence grew up in Suffolk in a music-filled household. He began composing after hearing the film scores of Jerry Goldsmith. His early music consisted of compositions for his school orchestra at Thomas Mills High School.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Julia Fischer, Bach: Violin Concertos Oliver Knussen, Oliver Knussen: Autumnal Various Artists, Jerry Goldsmith 40 Years Of Film Music Because I enjoy listening to them. They block out the sounds of the voices in my head.

What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Falling out of a moving bus on the way to a meeting with a director.
