Les Vampyrettes was the musical union of Krautrock legends Conny Plank and Holger Czukay. With the combined talents of renowned producer Plank (who had previously worked with the likes of Kluster, D.A.F, and Cabaret Voltaire, along with many others), and former member of Can, Holger Czukay, Les Vampyrettes was an inspired unification of two maverick musicians who were probably just about to reach the heights of their powers in the late-70s. Releasing only one EP back in 1980, the self-titled 12” contained two songs (“Biomutanten” and “Menetekel”) and was issued in limited-edition vinyl with only 1,000 copies available. In 2013, the Gronland label reissued the EP as a deluxe package. ~ Aneet Nijjar
