In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad was a rapper in the 90s and so I have always been around Hip Hop. He wrote my first song when I was 8 years old and I got to perform it live with my brother. 3 years later, I wrote my first verse and my love for Hip Hop began to grow.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Andy Mineo, Heroes for Sale Lecrae, Rehab T-Bone, Bone-a-Fide These albums had an impact on me at some point in my life. T-Bone was one of the earliest Christian Rappers I was introduced to as a kid. I wasn't allowed to listen to "secular" music. So T-Bone and Lecrae were great alternatives who made dope music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Strong (feat. Johnny Ten)” This song started off as a love song to my wife. However it changed when my dad got placed in the hospital with COVID. He was placed on the ventilator for 11 days and almost lost his life. This song reflects the emotions I was feeling at that time.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I had the opportunity to open for 1k Phew & Zauntee for one of their concerts in Arizona. I got to meet them and chat with them briefly. Zauntee prayed a blessing over me and my music. It was pretty awesome.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I aim to continue to have impact while I'm still alive. I learned to be content while staying motivated to expand and grow. I also want to inspire/motivate others to do good while also spreading hope with my music and life. To God be the glory.
