About LITTRELL
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I grew up with a mic in my hand, dancing in concert aisles, writing songs in my Hello Kitty diary. Music was (& is) the beat of my own heart, even as I hid behind the podium to sing my first church solo at age 3.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Janet Jackson, Janet.
Radiohead, In Rainbows
Van Hunt, On the Jungle Floor
Each of these masterpieces gripped me instantly & held on—soundtracks for my becoming. I’ve worn them out, returned to them, been made & remade by them. Decades later, I still don’t have words for their impact, only gratitude.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Cycle”
Cycle is an intense mix of gut-wrenching honesty, fear & hope. It was scary to write, liberating to produce, and necessary to put into the world—both a personal unraveling and an anthem for anyone trying to reclaim themselves.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The moment it hit me, an hour before Public Love debuted, that it was all my pain turn to beauty. I wept with gratitude until the record was live.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I just want to keep showing up, pulling out my guts, and marveling at the process. The real magic isn’t the milestones—it’s what’s born when I let go of them.
