About LMP
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was 4, my father started teaching me piano before school. Although I never fully pursued that particular instrument, the world it opened was one that I would never leave.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Marcus Miller, Afrodeezia
RAYE, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
Tee Grizzley, Tee's Coney Island
This Music May Contain Hope has a huge variety of styles that are satisfying to listen to.
Afrodeezia by Marcus Miller is, in my opinion, one of the greatest Jazz records of all time.
Tee's Coney Island was released at a personal time in my life.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Midnight”
Midnight was actually produced around midnight. It was the night before my math final exam, and I was stressed beyond belief. To try to relax before going to bed, I opened my laptop and started creating; you can almost hear the tension in the melody.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Asking to leave my classes during the last few days of school to go work in the studio. Some of the craziest tracks I've worked on have been during school hours, goofing off.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I would love to work for a record company and have a permanent studio. Production and beat-making are fun, but recording and engineering are my dream. The school studio is amazing, but it only lasts so long.
