Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Guitars were always strewn about the house. I remember lying by my dad as he laid on his back strumming. At 5, hearing Take a Look at Me Now, propping my feet on the dash, imagining I was a hero tracking a giant wild boar during the apocalypse.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brand New, Daisy Death Cab for Cutie, Plans Radiohead, Hail to the Thief I’m cheating, but Brand New’s TDAGARIM, Daisy, and Science Fiction are my all-time favorite. Along with Radiohead’s Hail to the Thief and Death Cab’s Plans, they are sonic and lyrical perfection. These albums transport me to another world.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Early on, driving 18 hours straight to Austin, TX in 100-degree heat. Four dudes in a Dodge Neon with no AC, gear in the trunk, and guitars on our laps. We suffered through it just to play a show and record an EP. It was pure, beautiful madness.
