Logan Halstead is a country singer and songwriter with a sound rooted in the working-class wisdom and despair of Appalachia. Born in Powell County, Kentucky and raised in West Virginia, his songs echo the authentic songwriting of regional contemporaries Tyler Childers, Cole Chaney, Chris Stapleton, and Sturgill Simpson. He released his debut album, Dark Black Coal, which featured the viral hit of the same name, in 2023.
