In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in preschool, my teacher brought an acoustic guitar into class and played for us. I was fascinated, it seemed as if it were some kind of magical tool that required sorcery or witchcraft to wield.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? "Weird Al" Yankovic, "Weird Al" Yankovic's Greatest Hits Arcade Fire, Funeral Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster The instrumentals and vocal hooks in these albums have burrowed into my brain like a parasite and will never leave. No matter how much time passes since hearing them, they influence the way I compose my music more than anything else.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Titanic the Musical” This song was an experiment, and it became the start of my path to creating hundreds of musicals about pop culture.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Having the opportunity to collaborate with some of my biggest inspirations was a highlight. The Gregory Brothers were a big influence in the early stages of my career. In 2019, we collaborated on a song called Jurassic World 2.5 The Musical.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have played live shows in bands in high school and college in rock bands, which were always electrifying, ecstatic experiences. I have never had the chance to play a live concert as a solo artist, but yearn for the opportunity.
