About Lucy Rose
English singer/songwriter Lucy Rose has a soft, breathy vocal style that takes different forms on her varied discography. When she began performing publicly as a young adult, her fragile, emotive acoustic songs soon drew comparisons to Laura Marling, with whom she shares influences such as Joni Mitchell and Neil Young. After changing up her sound from the gentle folk-rock of her 2012 debut, Like I Used To, to adult pop with conspicuous electronics on 2015's Work It Out, she settled into a more intimate sound with textured acoustic arrangements on albums such as No Words Left (2019) and the jazz-inflected This Ain't the Way You Go Out (2024).
